Mastery of Movement - Kyoto Journal

Prior to coming to Japan I reached out and had the good fortune to connect with Kyoto Journal, an award-winning quarterly magazine showcasing life, culture and society in Japan and throughout the Asia. They just celebrated 30 years and have a widely read international audience.

Currently, I will be helping them digitize some of their past content, going back as far as 30 years, to bring it online for a current audience. The wonderful benefit to me is that it is great content and is giving me the opportunity to immerse myself deeper into Japanese artists and culture, much of which I’d have never discovered on my own, which is exactly the purpose for my coming to Kyoto.

This is the first article I transcribed for them (written 30 years ago). I updated with a couple of photos I shot in China on my last adventure in Asia.
